Local Stud Joins Rockhampton Sale

The 13th Annual 5 Star Senepol and African Hybrid Bull Sale was held in Rockhampton, Queensland on Monday 21 September. 5 Star Senepol is run by Geoff and Alison Maynard of “Mt Eugene” in Jambin and there were 75 bulls on offer.

This was made up of 42 Senepol bulls, 10 Senepol Hybrid bulls, 14 Senegus bulls and 9 Senelais bulls. The sale had a 100% clearance rate with all bulls sold, and a top of $12,500 and an average of $6,850.

For the 3rd consecutive year Clayton and Sarah Maynard from Southern Star Rural in Canowindra sold bulls in conjunction with 5 Star. This year Southern Star Rural had 6 bulls in the sale with a top of $8,000 and an average of $6,500. (Pictured Top price Senegus Bull selling for $7,000).
